I am not used to being patted down before I go for a swim, but security was polite and the experience not too onerous. During the weekend the hotel pool was filled with young people who were having a great time. However, the smell of smoke was over whelming even with my first steps into the hotel. Check-in was fast, efficient and courteous. The 24/seven restaurant fights above its weight and the food there was really very good. The breakfast restaurant offers a great variety of well present and tasty foods. I was also told then that the pool below the Ivory Tower is much more over thirty friendly. Only when I was checking out did someone tell me they have a very good gym in the Ivory Tower. I wanted to use the gym and was pointed to the fitness center in the old tower. Don't plan to nap if you have a room above the pool on a weekend. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but a bit dark, the air-conditioning is quiet and efficient. If you are not under twenty nine, the music being played in the pool area may not be for you and as the afternoon progressed the music became louder and louder.
